How to Delete Instagram Account Permanently (Really Easy)

Want to delete your Instagram account right now? This is the video for you! Instagram’s menu system keeps changing, so we’re here to guide you to that hidden delete button once again. Here’s how to do it:

1. Open the Instagram app on your smartphone and go to your profile icon.  

2. Tap the hamburger menu, then select **Account Center**.  

3. Scroll down to **Account Settings** and tap **Personal Details**.  

4. Choose **Account Ownership and Control**, then select **Deactivation or Deletion**.  

5. Pick your Instagram account, and you’ll see the option to deactivate or delete. Switch to **Delete Account** and hit **Continue**.  

6. Instagram will ask for a reason—choose any option to proceed.  

7. Enter your password to authenticate, then hit **Continue** one last time.  

8. Finally, tap **Delete Account**.

Note: Instagram takes up to 30 days to complete the deletion process. Until then, your account won’t be visible online. After 30 days, your profile, photos, videos, comments, likes, and followers will be permanently erased from Meta’s database.
